Dr. Samantha Thompson | Study Co-Lead

My name is Samantha Thompson (she/her) and I am a researcher at the University of Victoria in the School of Public Health and Social Policy. I’m from Vancouver, BC and grew up in two local housing co-ops in Champlain Heights. My research explores the impacts of housing crises on renters, including co-op members.

Dr. Jeff Masuda | Study Co-Lead

My name is Jeff Masuda (he/him) and I am a professor in the School of Public Health and Social Policy at the University of Victoria. My work has examined environmental health equity with expertise in neighbourhood health inequities, housing rights, histories of racial dispossession and resistance, and arts-based research.

My name is Liam Fox (he/him) and I am a PhD Candidate in Geography at the University of Toronto. I study the cultural politics of extraction and populism in Western Canada, especially Alberta. I am also a member of the Vancouver Tenants Union.
