Participate in a study about how housing co-operatives shape experiences of housing crisis:
The study is being led by Samantha Thompson and Jeff Masuda, who are researchers at the University of Victoria in the School of Public Health and Social Policy. They are interested in learning more about your experiences as a renter in Vancouver, with a focus learning more about your experience of living in a co-op, the ways you may have experienced support and community in your housing, and your perspectives on the futures of co-ops and housing more generally.
At this time, we have reached capacity for co-op member interviews for this phase in the project. Updates about future ways to participate in this ongoing project and study findings will be posted on this website as they become available. Many thanks to all who contacted us, participated in an interview, and helped to share information about the first phase of this study–we are grateful for your time and expertise. Please feel free to contact us at spthomps@uvic.ca if you have any questions or concerns.
This study has received ethics approval from the University of Victoria’s Human Research Ethics Board under Study #24-0263.
